A leading document management company has introduced a new way to improve business efficiency through reducing the administrative costs associated with mail shots and other regular correspondence.
Docmail, a new on-line mail solution, can help housing associations, councils, doctors surgeries, vets, opticians, in fact almost any small business, charity or voluntary organisation to not only save money, but also free up administrative time for staff to concentrate on core duties.
“The days of stuffing envelopes can now be a thing of the past,” comments Dave Broadway, managing director of CFH Total Document Management, the company behind Docmail.
“At a time when budgets are tight, and costs are rising, Docmail is able to generate considerable savings both in terms of time and money for those in charge of administration and postage budgets,” he says.
The new system is already being used by Newydd Housing Association. Docmail allows customers to compose their letters, manage address lists and action their mailing, while monitoring progress from the comfort of their PC. Documents are sent electronically to Docmail, where the letters are then personalised, printed, enclosed and distributed.
At just 25p for a one-sided letter printed in black, or in full colour at 32p, including the cost of stationery, Docmail offers clear savings over both first and second class postage.
CFH has calculated that taking into account hidden costs such as administrative time, stationery, toner and print costs, the average cost to a business of producing and posting an average standard item is 86p. By using Docmail, that’s a saving of up to 61p per item.
