American Car Imports works as an independent importer, importing the new Ford Mustang and offering its modified Outlaw version for selected, discerning customers in the UK.
The new Mustang is an iconic work of American automotive genius. Drawing on the current consumer craving for nostalgia and harking back to the 1960’s the standard car is a modern re-incarnation of that Classic late 1960’s muscle car.
American Car Imports take the standard car and re-work it. They turn the Mustang into an outrageous looking, exclusive and limited production SuperCar – The ACI Racing Mustang Outlaw.
ACI - American Car Imports have a 7 year history of involvement with American Motor Racing - Drag Racing. In Europe the team were FIA European Champions for 4 consecutive years, many track and timing records were achieved during this period as well as the accolade of being the only non-American team to go the States and win an event on US soil, this was achieved in Tucson Arizona in 2004. So, the expertise existed within American Car Imports to adapt this knowledge to road going cars.
The exterior of the car is re-worked with an award winning 10-piece body-kit, fitted professionally in-house, the car is then lowered 2 inches using Eibach springs and then shod with massive 22” Eleanor style aluminium wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero high performance road tyres. The ACI graphics package incorporating the graduated chequer door decals, racing stripes and Outlaw screen shade are then added.
Their tuning department then takes the car to re-work the magic under the hood, a Ford Racing high performance cold air induction kit is installed to help your Pony breath, forcing the cold air in to increase the horsepower. The latest automotive computer technology is used to re-map the ECU so that the extra power output is enhanced and controlled in the most efficient way. A new cat-back exhaust system is installed, this has been designed with the input of BOSE sound engineers so that not only is the horsepower again increased but the car sounds as good as it looks.
The interior of the standard Mustang GT Premium with the interior upgrade package is already a very high standard, so very little is needed to enhance it, however, they do introduce a few subtle additions such as Billett switches, control knobs and door lock pins. If the customer requires it they can install the latest ICE, integrated flat-screen display for UK and European satellite navigation, incorporating a hard drive to record and store CD’s, blue-tooth mobile phone compatibility and has options to add an i-pod cable, rear-view camera and digital television.
