New book offers solutions for low back pain

C. Kumarlal Fernando is an internationally-known physical therapist and expert on pain, with over 50 years of experience. He has written and lectured extensively on physical therapy, pain and low back pain. Fernando is a Fulbright Scholar, as well as a graduate of New York University, where he was awarded the Founder's Award for scholastic achievement, and later served as Senior Physical Therapist at the Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Fernando is the current Executive Director of the Forest Hill Institute for Back Pain, Inc., as well as President and CEO of Island Rehabilitation in Marc Island. He has served as past Director of: the Departments of Physical Therapy at Schwab Rehabilitation Center, Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Johnston R. Bowman Center and Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Home Health Care Unit.
