 Simi Valley, CA, June 18, 2008 -- Spectrum Integrity has added standard and customized semiconductor test sockets to its array of current products and services. The sockets are exceptional in price, performance, availability, and the flexibility of customization.
A significant bottleneck is reduced in the test process.” says Michael Ingham, Director of Engineering at Spectrum Integrity, “Customers, at times, have been forced to wait six to eight weeks for the delivery of their sockets. Now, with our new socket offering, we are able to deliver high performance sockets in half the time.”
The company has successfully delivered its first turn-key solution of circuit design, fabrication, and assembly complete with custom test socket. Customization of the socket does not add to the standard three week delivery and can include routing the underside to avoid high speed transmission lines or to allow components to be placed close to the device under test.
Spectrum Integrity high performance sockets have the following characteristics:
AC performance to 20 GHz
Temperature rating from -50C to +150C
Guaranteed 100,000 insertions; 200,000 insertions typical.
Can be made compatible with existing socket footprints so no board re-spin needed
Ideally suited for QFN, BGA, and LGA packages
Three week delivery standard; two week expedited
Customization to include bottom clearance for critical traces or components
Two-thirds the cost of some competitor sockets
