 (Miami, FL) May 9, 2008 – Last week at Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Hot List party, celebrities like Ashley Simpson, Natasha Bedingfield, Elizabeth Hasselback, and Joan Allen were welcomed into the beautiful CAPRICHO by CUSTO RESIDENCES lounge alongside New York’s elite. Attendees sipped signature “Capricho Margaritas”, marveled at wall-size images of the gorgeous ocean property, and were able to speak with the project’s new partner, designer Custo Dalmau of CUSTO BARCELONA. Custo spent time with fashion fan and Oscar winner Adrian Brody and his girlfriend actress Elsa Pataky, and discussed how he began his new journey doing interiors, a restaurant, and spa design at Capricho Residences; the magnificent new resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
Custo Barcelona will provide an exquisite and unique touch to this uber-luxury project on the Mexican Caribbean. The world-renown fashion house’s partnership will be apparent as guests stroll through the property and marvel at the vibrant “tile-art” being created by Custo for the flooring of the main pool. The property’s Beach Club will feature Custo elements such as original murals at the entrance, CUSTO pool umbrellas and interiors fashioned by the designer. All CUSTO murals within the property will be interpreted using indigenous elements such as stone, marble, woods and glass; paralleling the nature-inspired philosophy of Capricho. The bag, made of natural jute, helps to limit the use of traditional plastic grocery bags.
